Post-Partum & Newborn care

The first weeks home are beautiful, and exhausting. Our nurse-managed team supports your recovery and your newborn’s care, so your family can rest, heal, and find its rhythm.

Bringing a baby home changes everything overnight. Whether this is your first child or your fourth, whether recovery is straightforward or complicated, most new parents are doing the hardest job of their lives on the least sleep of their lives. HosPall’s post-partum and newborn care brings experienced, Nurse-Managed caregivers into your home for a few hours of daytime relief, overnight support, or steady help through the first weeks. We care for you as much as for your baby, because a recovering parent needs care too.

What’s Included

  • Rest and recovery support

Hands on help while you recover, including after caesarean delivery, so you can heal without carrying the whole household on your own.

  • Incision and wound monitoring

RN oversight of your recovery, including caesarean incisions, so anything that needs attention gets caught early. [confirm nursing scope]

  • Meal prep and hydration reminders

Light meal preparation and gentle hydration reminders through the day, because recovery runs on food and water you actually manage to eat and drink.

  • A watchful, experienced presence

Someone in the house who has done this before, ready with answers to the small questions that feel enormous in the first weeks.

  • Post-partum mood awareness

Caregivers trained to notice when something feels heavier than "baby blues" and to gently encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider.

  • Feeding support

Bottle preparation, feeding routines, and burping, with encouragement of the feeding approach you have chosen. For clinical lactation concerns we refer to a certified lactation consultant.

  • Safe sleep and soothing

Safe sleep practices, gentle settling, and consistent routines so baby, and you, can rest.

  • Diapering, bathing, and cord care

Everyday newborn care handled calmly and confidently while you rest or recover.

  • Tracking feeds, sleep, and diapers

A clear written picture of the day so pediatric appointments start with real data instead of guesswork.

  • When to escalate, without guessing

Caregivers trained to recognize when something needs a call to your midwife, physician, or 811. They escalate; they do not wing it.

  • Overnight support

A caregiver stays through the night, handles feeds or brings baby to you for feeding, resettles them, and lets you get the unbroken sleep recovery requires. See also Overnight & 24-Hour Care.
