In-home support for children and youth with special needs

Every child deserves a caregiver who understands them, and every parent deserves a break they don’t have to feel guilty about. HosPall provides trained, consistent, Nurse-Managed care for children and youth with autism and developmental needs.

Parenting a child with autism or developmental needs is a long game played at full intensity. Respite isn’t indulgence; it’s what makes the long game sustainable. But handing your child to just anyone isn’t respite at all. It’s a new source of worry.

What’s Included

  • Consistency above all

Careful matching, and the same caregiver visit after visit. New faces are hard; we minimize them.

  • Structured routines

We follow the routines that work for your child (visual schedules, transition warnings, preferred sequences) rather than imposing our own.

  • Sensory-aware support

Caregivers trained to recognize sensory triggers and support regulation calmly and without judgment.

  • Communication that meets your child where they are

Verbal, minimally verbal, AAC devices, sign: we take our lead from your child and your guidance.

  • Meaningful engagement, not screen-sitting

Play, outdoor time, and activities built around your child’s interests.

Who this is for

That’s the problem this service exists to solve. HosPall matches your family with a caregiver who is trained for this work, supported by nurses, and, critically, consistent. The same person, who learns your child’s routines, communication style, sensitivities, and joys.

This service is a fit for families who need:

  • Regular after school, evening, or weekend support
  • Respite blocks so parents can rest, work, or spend time with siblings
  • A steady extra set of hands during holidays and school breaks
  • Overnight support for children with disrupted sleep
  • Continuity of routine when a parent is ill, travelling, or recovering

We support children and youth with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and related needs
