Karen Dubeau brings a dynamic blend of engineering and business expertise to her role as Director of Strategic Growth and Innovation at HosPall Private Homecare. A seasoned entrepreneur and change leader, she is deeply embedded in York Region’s innovation ecosystem, having forged successful partnerships with major health organizations and post-secondary institutions. She is excited to contribute to HosPall’s position at the forefront of innovative care solutions.
Having experienced first-hand the complexities of helping aging family members navigate the healthcare system, Karen became passionate about supporting individuals and families through all stages of life. She was drawn to HosPall by its values-driven leadership, commitment to compassionate care, and strong community support. Karen is committed to advancing HosPall’s mission by implementing solutions, processes, and partnerships that set the standard for quality care with a current focus on social prescribing, health quality, and leadership development.
Karen holds the Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA) designation (2026), a certificate in Health Quality Standards from the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She also serves as a member of the King Township Age-Friendly Steering Committee, helping to develop an Age-Friendly Community Action Plan.
Outside of her role at HosPall, Karen is a strong advocate for women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), working with youth and women’s organizations to promote careers in these fields.
Karen’s contributions have been recognized with several prestigious honours, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Ontario, Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
