Who we are

Care that feels personal because it is.

HosPall is a private, nurse-managed home care provider rooted in King City and serving York Region, Simcoe County, and North Toronto. We were built by a nurse, for the people clinicians care about most.

Our story

Founded by a nurse, for the families nurses worry about after the shift ends.

Michelle Frauley has spent more than 35 years watching people fall through the cracks between the hospital and home. In 2014, in King City, Ontario, she built HosPall to close them.

Her career has spanned family medicine, palliative care, women’s health, long-term care, the operating room, and community nursing. Everywhere she has worked, the story was the same: people leave the hospital, arrive home, and land in a fragmented patchwork of care with no one holding it together.

HosPall is her answer. A nurse builds the plan, supervises the caregivers, and stays accountable as the family’s situation changes. Trust, dignity, and clinical rigour, the values that shaped her bedside practice, are still the foundation of how we work today.

How we work

Nurse-managed care, not nurse-advertised care.

A lot of agencies put a nurse on the home page. We put one on every care plan. At HosPall, a registered nurse is the central point of accountability for your family, not a scheduler, not a call centre, not a software platform.

That is the difference between care that is technically delivered and care that is actively managed. It is the reason we can move quickly when something changes, advocate for you in a hospital corridor, and answer the phone on a Saturday night.

What this means in practice

  • Care in place within 24 to 48 hours of your first call.
  • A registered nurse assesses every client before care begins.
  • PSWs are matched, briefed, and supervised by your Nurse Manager.
  • After-hours and weekend support from the same nursing team that knows your loved one.
  • Hospital and clinic advocacy when the system gets complicated.
  • Care plans adjusted as needs change, rapidly, without paperwork friction.

What we stand for

Three principles. Everything else follows.

  • Compassion first

Every visit, every conversation, every care plan begins with the person in front of us. Skill matters; presence matters more.

  • Nurse-managed care

A registered nurse assesses every client, builds every care plan, and supervises every visit. There is no "just a scheduler" between you and a clinician.

  • Dignity & trust

We work in your home. That privilege carries an obligation: to honour every stage of life with respect, transparency, and the kind of attentiveness families can rely on.

Where we serve

Rooted in King City. At home across York Region and North Toronto.

Our Nurse Managers live and work in the same communities we serve. That proximity is the reason we can be in a client’s home within 24 to 48 hours of a first call, and the reason our caregivers know the local hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies by name.
