Accreditation & standards

Built on standards you can verify.

We publish our credentials because families deserve more than reassurance, they deserve evidence. Every body listed here can confirm our standing independently. The links are for that purpose.

Exemplary Standing

Exemplary Standing is the highest accreditation outcome awarded by Accreditation Canada. It is given to organizations that go beyond the requirements of the program and consistently demonstrate excellence in quality improvement, safety culture, and outcomes for the people they serve.

HosPall is surveyed against the same Qmentum standards used by Canadian hospitals and regional health authorities. Every care plan we deliver is measured against that bar and supervised by a registered Nurse Manager.

What this means for you

A badge is easy to display. Here is what our Exemplary Standing actually changes about the care in your home.

  • A care plan built around your loved one, not a template

A registered Nurse Manager designs each care plan in consultation with the client, the family, and the physicians involved, and keeps adjusting it as needs change. The plan fits the person; the person is never fit to the plan.

  • Care that goes beyond the medical

We look past the diagnosis to the whole person: hobbies, interests, daily routines, preferences, faith, and culture. We shape the care around what makes your loved one themselves. Comfort and quality of life are part of the plan, not an afterthought.

  • The same safety bar as a hospital, independently checked

Exemplary Standing means we were surveyed against Accreditation Canada’s Qmentum standards, the same program used by Canadian hospitals, and that an independent surveyor verified we meet them. That review includes the Required Organizational Practices: the essential, evidence-based safety practices covering areas like medication safety, infection prevention, and falls and risk assessment. It isn’t our word that we’re safe; it’s theirs.

  • Strong systems behind the scenes, not just good intentions

The survey examines how we actually operate day to day: how we manage safety, document care, respond when something changes, and keep improving over time. Good care depends on good internal processes, and ours are held to an audited standard rather than left to chance.

  • Service standards, held to account too

Accreditation looks at more than clinical care. It also weighs how we communicate, how quickly we respond, and how we treat families through the hardest moments. The way we show up for you is part of what we are measured on, and expected to keep improving.

“In our most recent survey, we were measured against more than 580 individual standards, and met the bar for Exemplary Standing.”
